Sudanese mentality is a confusing and confused mentality. It needs to be restructured. Sudanese people will never ever be Sudanese unless they restructure their mentality through sudanizing their Sudanese mentality. I’m extremely sorry to start this article with such a harshly shocking and electrifying term. But one intentionally needs to be a bit rude than good when people wittingly do not want to call a spade a spade. We will keep suffering until we get surprised by the Doomsday. Our dilemma in Sudan is that we adamantly do not want to be ourselves. Our dilemma in Sudan is that we do not want to decolonize our mentality from the inferiority complex of denying to be ourselves. Our dilemma in Sudan is that we do not want to liberate our mentality from the superiority complex of being the best nation in the world. Our dilemma in Sudan is that we do not want to free ourselves from blindly mimicking or simulating others. In a nutshell, our dilemma in Sudan is that we do not want to be ourselves, Sudanese. Almighty God has created us on this land, on this territory, Sudan, in order to be Sudanese, in order to e ourselves. Denying to be ourselves is a crime. It is a sin, it is a scandal. Who are you who intentionally want to change the nature of the things against the will of Almighty God? Who are you? Swimming against the turbulent waves and currents of nature is a suicidal attempt.
It is because of our arrogance that God keeps punishing us since the independence of our country. It is because of our stubbornness that God keeps squeezing our ears until we come to our reason and wisdom. Obstacles of all sorts will keep coming from all corners of the globe to chain and cripple us as long as we keep reluctant to Sudanize our impaired mentality. Decolonization from the passivity and negativity of this present Sudanese mentality is the sole transformation and way toward a better and quality life to the Sudanese nations.
Sudanizing our Sudanese mentality is the only way out. Being true, Sudanese will help us widely open our hearts to embrace each other. Being Sudanese will make us open a new splendid chapter with new splendid pages of creativity and innovation. Being Sudanese will help us stand upon our two legs and courageously and confidently move towards actualizing our joint mission. Nonsensical wars will come to an end for good. The only war that will keep continuing is the noble war against poverty, illiteracy, and disease. It is only through the Sudanization of Sudanese mentality that we can amalgamate the five hundred and fifty plus Sudanese tribes into one giant nation to reckon with.
Sudanizing the Sudanese mentality is about removing these crazy ideas of becoming other identities. It is about fostering and bolstering our Sudanese identity, which is deep-rooted in our heritage and originality. It is about promoting the spirit of Sudanese paternity and comradeship. Sudanizing the Sudanese mentality means one Sudanese national vision, which means one Sudanese national mission, means on Sudanese national will, means one Sudanese national project, means one Sudanese destiny. It means pooling and mainstreaming all Sudanese efforts toward one direction, one destination, and one Sudanese common good. Sudanization of Sudanese mentality will pave the pathway for sustainable and just peace which will pave the pathway for sustainable development which will, likewise, pave the pathway for the welfare and wellbeing of the Sudanese nations which will lead to the amalgamation of the nations of Sudan into one giant formidable nation that can fully participate and contribute in the development of humanity.
Decolonizing Sudanese mentality from being similar to other mentalities cements their togetherness and oneness. Sudanese people failed to keep their country united as a result of failing to be Sudanese. Sudanese people failed to bring an end to their non-stoppable nonsensical wars since regaining their political independence due to their failure to be Sudanese. When nations differ in clearly identifying and defining their identities, the possibility of differing in other life pillars and components will remain high and very possible. They will doubtlessly differ in other social and cultural aspects. They will politically differ. They will economically differ. They will spiritually and religiously differ. Nonsensical and brutal wars will break out due to their political differences and socio-economic disparities.
I conclude my article by saying that the more the Sudanese people delay in decolonizing their mentality from inferiority and superiority complexes, the more the country will get dismembered and fragmented. Sudanism is a good, unique identity to be proud of. It gives Sudanese people their uniqueness and flavour. It clearly distinguishes them from other nations. It protects them from getting assimilated into other cultures. It helps them promote and enhance their cultural diversity. Gun sounds, on the other hand, will get silenced. Brutality and massacres will get stopped. Inter-tribal and intra-tribal violent conflicts will get defused. Hate speech will never be allowed. Vilification and demonization will disappear. Religious or tribal or ideological extremism or extremism of any kind will never be permissible to be practised in the country. Sudanization of Sudanese mentality will help them restore their prestige and dignity worldwide. It is through Sudanizing Sudanese mentality that they can restore their dignity and not through nonsensical wars. The real glory is for the Sudanization of their mentality. Sudanization of Sudanese mentality calls for a real national will without which Sudan will never ever be at ease.
Glory or Dignity Through a Barrel of Gun is Not Possible.
